According to official data announced by TÜİK, the cost of agricultural production increased by 1.44 percent monthly and 38.82 percent annually in November. Veterinary expenses increased the most, with 144 percent on an annual basis.
Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the November 2023 Agricultural Input Price Index (Agriculture-GFE) data. Accordingly; In Agriculture-GFE, there was an increase of 1.44 percent in November compared to the previous month, 37.83 percent compared to December of the previous year, 38.82 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and 46.96 percent compared to 12-month averages.
In the main groups, compared to the previous month, there was a 1.39 percent increase in the index of goods and services used in agriculture and a 1.70 percent increase in the index of goods and services that contribute to agricultural investment. Compared to the same month of the previous year, there was a 34.32 percent increase in the index of goods and services used in agriculture and a 72.48 percent increase in the index of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment.
According to the annual Agriculture-GFE; The subgroups with the lowest increase were fertilizer and soil improvers with 8.44 percent and animal feed with 25.03 percent.
The subgroups with the highest annual increase were veterinary expenditures with 144.54 percent and other goods and services with 83.90 percent, respectively.
The subgroups that showed a decrease in monthly Agriculture-GFE were fertilizers and soil improvers with 2.15 percent and energy and oils with 1.80 percent, respectively.
On the other hand, the subgroups with the highest monthly increase were veterinary expenses with 10.84 percent and machine maintenance expenses with 3.70 percent, respectively.
