The lawyer of women's and workers' rights defender Şerife Muhammedî made statements regarding the overturning of the death penalty given to his client. Lawyer Emir Reîsîan stated that the sentence was overturned by the Reşt High Court.
Human rights defender Sharifa Muhammadi was detained by Rasht Intelligence Directorate officers on December 5, 2023, on charges of "anti-state propaganda" and was sentenced to death by the Iranian Revolutionary Court.
