After a trustee was appointed to replace co-mayors Cevdet Konak and Birsen Orhan in Dersim, protests against the trustee started in the city centre. The police attacked the crowds who barricaded themselves in the streets with armored vehicles, pressurized water, rubber bullets, gas and sound bombs. 8 people were detained in these attacks.
Among those detained, Fethi Kaykaç and Sezai Aksöyek were arrested and taken to Tunceli Prison in Dersim. While 8 people were detained, police torture continued at the police station. While there were bruises on the bodies of the detainees, it was stated that the arrested Fethi Kaykaç had difficulty walking due to the beating.
