In the past weeks, various protests took place in Istanbul, Bursa, Mersin and Antalya, demanding the closure of ships departing from Turkish ports and carrying mainly military ammunition to the occupying state Israel, to the ports and territorial waters. The demand of the Palestinian people to boycott and isolate the occupier continues to rise in many countries of the world, and actions targeting ports and territorial waters have been continuing for months. The Kathrin ship, which carries military ammunition to the genocidal occupation state and was prevented from anchoring in the ports of Namibia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Angola and Malta, thanks to the struggle of the peoples of the world, can anchor in Haydarpaşa Port! The bourgeois-feudal media, which shares the actions taken abroad against the Kathrin ship, neither sees or shares these actions nor recognizes the legitimate demand when it comes to Haydarpaşa Port. The bourgeois-feudal media, which enthusiastically covers the protests in Namibia, turns a blind eye when it comes to Haydarpaşa and the crimes committed by the Turkish state, and accuses the activists of being terrorists. Kathrin, Mario A ships carry military ammunition, motorized tanks, armored combat vehicles, hand grenades, torpedoes, mines, missiles, cartridges and cartridge fuses received from the USA. In the joint memorandum published on November 4, addressed to the UN Secretary General, the Turkish state stated that "immediate steps should be taken to stop the supply of weapons, ammunition and related equipment to the occupying Israel", and does not impose any sanctions when it comes to its own ports and territorial waters, by allowing passage to these ships. The Turkish state, which continues its dysfunctional heroism and aims to deceive the public with this heroism through the bourgeois-feudal media, does not impose any isolation against Zionist Israel, from ports to territorial waters, from oil to barbed wire. BAE Systems, the largest arms supplier of the genocide, proudly displays its weapons at the defense and aviation fair called Saha Expo.
The ports and territorial waters that have been opened wide to Israel, the occupying state that murdered tens of thousands of Palestinians and displaced hundreds of thousands of them, and that were unconditionally put at the service of imperialism and Zionism, must be closed! The actions carried out in Haydarpaşa, Ambarlı Port, Mersin, Bursa and many other areas show that the lies of the bourgeois-feudal media and the Turkish state are in vain. On December 18, 2023, young people who protested against ongoing shipments to the occupation state at Ambarlı Port were detained under torture and a lawsuit was filed against them. The Palestine Action Committee, which will meet again at Ambarlı Port on November 17, calls for the immediate closure of Turkish ports to ships supplying Zionism. Those who judge the Palestinian struggle and try to deceive the people with arrogance will find resistance as long as they continue their cooperation with imperialism and Zionism. We have seen since the Al-Aqsa Flood that the people of the world will continue to embrace their duties in the Palestinian people's struggle against Zionism and imperialism.
